Josh: Good evening everyone. Tonight I will be interviewing Avril Lavigne. She is a Canadian singer and currently a recording artist. So, let’s give it up for Avril Lavigne! Show your support!
Rachel: Hello, Hello! Thank you!
Josh: Now Avril, I am sure that the aspiring artists would love to know the story behind your success.
Rachel: Well, as you know, I love to sing and I started singing when I was fifteen years old. I had to start from an early age. Becoming an artist was not easy. I had to work very hard to get where I am today.
Josh: That’s so true! It’s always good to get an early start at a career. What inspired you to start playing music?
Rachel: I have always been interested in music from an early age. I love to sing and play guitar. Music has always kept me calm, focused, and in a good state of mind even when times get tough. I like to let my emotions out through my music.
Josh: Wow, when you put it like that music sounds like such an amazing thing on so many levels. What is your next album and, can I be in it?
Rachel: Actually, my most recent album just came out and unfortunately you’re not in it! I worked really hard on writing it. I would stay up until 1:00 am in my studio writing until each song was perfect!
Josh: That sounds very exhausting, yet rewarding. Sometimes I find it hard to focus late at night. Who inspires you?
Rachel: Mainly, family, friends, and ex-boyfriends inspire my music. A really happy song might be inspired by me chilling with my friends, but a sad song might be inspired by a rough breakup I had.
Josh: That sounds bitter sweet but the effects of your music make it all worthwhile. Lastly, tell us about your perfume and clothing lines?
Rachel: Well, I love having a perfume line because of all the great scents I can create and name. My most recent scent is called Forbidden Rose. My clothing line is called Abbey Dawn. It reflects my punk princess sense of style.
Josh: Well Avril, it’s been great having you on the show. I really loved interviewing you and learning more about your life. Now, I have seen first hand that you are a truly beautiful, successful young lady inside and out. I wish you the best of luck in your future!
